What size is a Store2Go self-storage unit?
Each self-storage unit is 2.2m long by 1.5m wide and 2.4m high (7’ x 5’ x 7’2”). It has a capacity of 250 cubic feet and it can carry as much as 1400kgs in weight. It can hold the equivalent of a large transit van.
Can the self-storage unit hold large furniture items?
Yes. The Store2Go storage unit is specifically designed to hold household furniture including 2 or 3 seat sofas, wardrobes, beds and white goods. It can also hold office furniture, archives and goods of all types.
Can I load the self-storage unit myself?
Yes, that’s what most of our customer prefer to do. Our storage units are delivered to you in a custom built trailer. Always try to load the biggest items first, and evenly distribute the weight over the base of the unit. then pack the smaller items around them. Use plenty of good packing materials including extra strong boxes and bubble-wrap, particularly when packing fragile items.
How long do I have to load the mobile self-storage unit?
We can leave your self-storage unit with you for as long as you need to pack it or we can collect it again later on the same day. We can also arrange delivery and collections for evenings or weekends so you don’t have to take time off work. Talk to us about your specific requirements.
Is the Mobile self-storage unit secure at my door?
Yes!:
You lock the mobile storage unit with your own key so only you have access.
The trailer tow hitch is locked to ensure that only Store2Go staff can tow your goods.
Where is my self-storage storage unit stored?
Our secure storage centres are based in Fife, Tayside and Perthshire.
Are my storage items insured?
Yes, your goods are protected with industry leading insurers for Goods In Transit whilst we transport your storage unit to and from our storage centre. Furthermore, because only you know the true value of what goes into your storage unit, we can tailor your storage insurance to meet your needs.
How much does the self-storage unit cost?
We operate the best value self-storage business model. Your price will depend on what your exact requirements are but our storage prices start from as little as £12 per week. What can I not put in my self-storage unit?
There are some items that you cannot store in your storage unit but if you’re unsure give us a call:

When do you deliver the storage unit?
Whenever you need it, just let us know. but you don’t need to be at home. We can drop of the storage unit and send you the secure lock combination. We can also deliver or collect the storage unit in the evening or during the weekend.
Is my self-storage unit safe whilst in storage?
Yes - you lock the self-storage unit with your own key and we put a special anti tamper seal on it, and only you have access. The Store2Go premises are within a self-contained gated compound with high perimeter fencing. Your storage items are stored indoors at all times and are further protected by modern Grade 4 security systems including: remote CCTV monitoring and Alarm system monitoring.

How many storage units will I need?
Each mobile self-storage unit has a volume capacity of 250 cubic feet and 1400kgs in weight. It will hold the contents of an average 1-2 bedroom flat and has approximately the same capacity as a large transit van. – Call us and we can discuss your specific needs. You can have as many units as you need so we can cater for a 1 bed flat to a castle!
Can I get another storage unit?
Yes - if you need another storage unit just contact us and we'll drop one off for you. You also get discounted rates on multiple units
Where will you park the mobile self-storage unit?
The storage unit is delivered in the trailer and is about the size of a large panel van. We can park on a driveway, in a resident’s bay, in a loading bay. We can also park on the kerbside near your premises. Please ensure you reserve a space as conveniently close to your nearest access point as possible.
